Abstrak

Latar Belakang: Acute Decompensated Heart Failure (ADHF) berisiko tinggi terhadap rawat inap berulang. Keluarga memiliki peran krusial dalam mendeteksi tanda perburukan melalui self-monitoring. Tujuan: Mengevaluasi efektivitas Booklet sebagai media edukasi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan keluarga pasien ADHF. Metode: Studi kasus dengan desain pra-eksperimental pretest-posttest ini melibatkan dua subjek: kelompok intervensi (n=1) yang menerima Booklet dan edukasi terstruktur, serta kelompok kontrol (n=1) yang menerima edukasi lisan. Pengetahuan diukur menggunakan kuesioner yang diadaptasi dari Chronic Heart Failure Knowledge Questionnaire. Hasil: Kelompok intervensi menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan substansial dari 63,64% menjadi 100% (naik 36,36%). Sebaliknya, kelompok kontrol hanya mengalami peningkatan minimal dari 45,45% menjadi 54,55% (naik 9,1%). Analisis per butir soal menunjukkan kelompok intervensi lebih unggul dalam mengenali tanda perburukan dan tindakan yang tepat. Format visual dan terstruktur dari Booklet memfasilitasi akses informasi berulang serta retensi pengetahuan yang lebih baik bagi keluarga. Kesimpulan: Meskipun dengan sampel terbatas, Studi kasus ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan booklet berpotensi meningkatkan pengetahuan keluarga pasien ADHF dibandingkan edukasi lisan. Diperlukan penelitian lanjutan dengan sampel lebih besar untuk memvalidasi temuan ini dalam praktik keperawatan kritis.
