The Relationship Of Nutritional Status And The Incidence Of Acute Respiratory Tract Infections In Toddler-Age Children In Posyandu Paccinongan

ABSTRACT

Background: Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is an infectious disease of the upper or lower respiratory tract which can cause a wide spectrum of disease ranging from mild infections to severe and deadly diseases, depending on the causative pathogen, host factors and environmental factors. Research objective: To determine the relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of ISPA in children under five at Posyandu Pacinnongan in the Tino Community Health Center Working Area, Jeneponto Regency. Research Method: This research uses an analytical observational research method with a cross-sectional study research plan. The sampling method in this research used nonprobability sampling with incidental sampling techniques. This research used 48 samples from 65 populations. Research Results: The results of the analysis of nutritional status were that 28 (58.4%) respondents had good nutritional status and 20 (41.6%) respondents had poor nutritional status and 28 (58.4%) respondents had never experienced ISPA A. . The incidence of ISPA was 20 (41.6%) respondents. The results of the statistical test analysis of the chi square test obtained p = 0.002 < 0.05. Conclusion: There is a relationship between nutritional status and the incidence of ISPA in children under five at the Pacinnongan posyandu in the Tino Community Health Center Working Area, Jeneponto Regency.

ABSTRAK

Latar belakang: Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) adalah penyakit menular dari saluran pernapasan atas atau bawah yang dapat menimbulkan berbagai spektrum penyakit berkisar dari infeksi ringan sampai penyakit yang parah dan mematikan, tergantung pada patogen penyebabnya, faktor penjamu dan faktor lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian ISPA pada Anak usia toddler di Posyandu Pacinnongan Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tino Kabupaten Jeneponto. Metode Penelitian : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian observasional analitik dengan rancangan penelitian studi potong lintang (cross sectional). Metode pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan Non probability Sampling dengan teknik Sampling insidental/accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan 48 sampel dari 65 populasi.  Hasil Penelitian : Hasil analisis status gizi yang memiliki status gizi baik sebanyak 28 (58,4%) responden dan status gizi Kurang sebanyak 20 (41,6%)   responden dan  kejadian ISPA A sebanyak 28 (58,4%) responden tidak pernah mengalami Kejadian ISPA sebanyak 20 (41,6%)   responden. Hasil analisis uji statistic uji chi squaer diperoleh p = 0.002 < 0.05. Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan status gizi terhadap kejadian ISPA pada anak usia toddler  di posyandu Pacinnongan Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tino Kabupaten Jeneponto.
