Dental and oral health problems are one of the main issues in global public health, especially among children who are in the developmental stage. One of the educational approaches that is considered effective, interesting, and easy for students to understand is the use of innovative video media. The purpose of this research is to increase children's knowledge about dental and oral health. This study adopts a pretest-posttest group design. All class IV students totaling 30 people were used as samples in this study through the application of total sampling techniques. The Paired Statistical Test is a statistical analysis technique used to assess the difference in the average student knowledge score between before (pretest) and after (posttest) (innovative video playback). The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a value of p = 0.001 (p < 0.05), which means that there was a significant difference between the students' level of knowledge before and after being given an innovative video. Based on the results of research on the effectiveness of innovative videos in increasing knowledge about dental and oral health of fourth grade children of SDN 4 Belawae, it can be concluded that innovative videos have proven to be effective as an educational medium because they are able to attract attention, make it easier for students to understand, and convey information in an attractive and interactive visual way.
