As digital health continues to reshape healthcare delivery, physiotherapists are increasingly expected to engage with digital platforms not only as a source of information, but as a tool to support clinical reasoning and evidence based practice. This study aimed to explore how Indonesian physiotherapists, particularly those early in their careers, utilize digital tools to inform and enhance their professional decisions. A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 50 physiotherapists from diverse clinical settings across Indonesia. The majority of respondents were under 25 years old, held a Diploma III in Physiotherapy, and had less than one year of clinical experience. Despite their limited time in practice, most participants expressed strong motivation to engage with digital health tools, with 82% reporting moderate to high motivation. However, frequency of use was relatively low only 2% accessed digital tools daily, while most reported using them several times per week or month. Popular platforms included PubMed (40.4%) and Google Scholar (34.3%), whereas specialized databases such as PEDro and the Cochrane Library were accessed far less frequently. While 58% of respondents agreed that digital tools improved the quality of their interventions, a notable 42% remained unsure. Commonly cited barriers included lack of time during clinical hours (29.1%), difficulty reading articles in foreign languages (24.1%), lack of training (20.3%), and internet connectivity issues (11.4%). These findings reveal a clear interest in using digital tools among young Indonesian physiotherapists, yet highlight persistent systemic and educational barriers that limit their practical application. The study underscores the need for better integration of digital literacy in physiotherapy training, improved access to high-quality resources, and support systems that empower clinicians to fully embrace digital tools in everyday practice.
